What is ACE
Security Laminates made
of?
ACE Security Laminates is made up
of multiple woven layers of polyester. It is then
laminated together with a pressure-sensitive acrylic
adhesive.
Is it
bulletproof?
ACE Security Laminates (300 series)
when applied to ˝ inch glass can resist the penetration
of a .38 caliber, .9mm FMJ or even a .357. If the window
shatters, the film’s strong adhesive grip will hold the
majority of broken glass fragments together providing
additional time to escape danger.
Does it hinder the
view?
No. ACE laminates are visually
unobtrusive.
How do you clean it?
ACE Laminates can be cleaned 30
days after the installation with normal glass cleaning
products.
We strongly discourage the use of abrasive
cleaners and rags, as this may scratch the Security
Laminate.
Will it peel,
yellow or bubble?
No. ACE Security
Laminates will not peel, yellow, or bubble and is
warranted against such occurrences.
Will it bring my plate glass up to
building safety codes?
Yes, our
5 mil laminate can convert wired glass and plate glass
to laminated glass that passes the national ANSI Z-97.1
Impact Resistant Safety Glazing requirements.
If it keeps a
burglar out – can I get out in an emergency?
Yes, our laminates are installed on
the interior surface of glass and can be “cut” and
“pushed out” in an emergency.
How long does the
installation take?
Most homes can be completed in 1–2
days. The
size of the installation always dictates.
Do we laminate
vehicles?
Yes. Vehicle installations
are done in
the East Valley at 511 N. Guadalupe #7 in Gilbert.
